The 4th Women Power Forum (WPF) with the theme of “WOMEN ACROSS NATIONS: UNITE TO PROSPER”was held at Unit 402A, 4/F, Shun Tak Centre, Sheung Wan on 1 April 2026. At the forum, outstanding female leaders and professionals from around the world, including important officials, business leaders, academic and economic experts, representatives of social organizations, and young leaders, gathered to explore how women have achieved extraordinary success in the fields of art and culture, finance and business, science and innovation, and social innovation.

Mr John Lee was born in 1957. He joined the Hong Kong Police Force in 1977 as a Probationary Inspector of Police and was promoted to Deputy Commissioner of Police in 2010. He served in a variety of posts in the Force, including Assistant Commissioner (Crime), Director of Crime and Security and Deputy Commissioner (Management). He holds a Master's degree of Public Policy and Administration from Charles Sturt University in Australia.

Mr Lee was appointed Under Secretary for Security in 2012 and Secretary for Security in 2017. During his service in the Security Bureau, he was responsible for the formulation of security policies covering law and order, immigration and customs control, fire and emergency rescue services, correctional services, government flying services and other areas. He also oversaw and coordinated the work of six disciplined services departments and two auxiliary forces under the Bureau.

Mr Lee was appointed Chief Secretary for Administration in 2021. Apart from assisting the Chief Executive in policy administration, Mr Lee was also responsible for supervising the work of nine policy bureaux, harmonising the work which straddled across different bureaux and departments, as well as promoting a good relationship between the Executive Authorities and the Legislature.

Mr Lee won the Chief Executive Election of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on 8 May 2022, and was appointed as the sixth-term Chief Executive by the Central People's Government on 20 May 2022. Mr Lee assumed office on 1 July 2022.

Pansy Ho

Ms. Ho is an outstanding businesswoman and has made many contributions to the business and women's sectors in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, as well as to the tourism industry over the years. She is currently the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Executive Committee member of the All-China Women's Federation and Chairperson of the Hong Kong Federation of Women's Association. Ms. Ho is devoted to promoting the understanding of the Country among different sectors after the reunification to the motherland of Hong Kong and Macau. She is keen to reflect the opinions from women prospective to the government through various community service positions.

Ms. Ho is helming a number of listed conglomerate in Hong Kong and Macau. She is the Group Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Shun Tak Group, the Chairperson and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, and the Deputy Chairman and Non-Executive Director of Phoenix Media Investments (Holdings) Limited.

As a veteran of the travel industry, Ms. Ho serves on a number of international organisations, including Vice Chairman of the World Tourism Alliance and Vice Chairman of the International Mountain Tourism Alliance. She is also the Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Global Tourism Economy Forum.

Angellah Kairuki
Minister for Communication and Information Technology of the United Republic of Tanzania
Tanzania

Angellah Jasmine Mbelwa Kairuki is a Minister for Communication and Information Technology of the United Republic of Tanzania. She also chairs the National Advisory Committee on the Implementation of the Generation Equality Forum in Tanzania.

She has held several senior Cabinet positions, including Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Minister of Minerals, Minister of State in the President’s Office responsible for Regional Administration and Local Government, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for Investment, and Minister of State in the President’s Office responsible for Public Service Management and Good Governance.

Before entering politics, Ms Kairuki served as a Parliamentary Draftsman in the Attorney General’s Chambers and as a State Attorney in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. She later joined the private sector as Head of the Department of Ethics, Compliance, and Governance at Vodacom Group Pty.

Her leadership has received international recognition. In 2012, she was named among Forbes magazine’s 20 Young Power African Women, and in 2014 she was selected by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader.

Ms Kairuki holds a law degree from the University of Hull, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Staffordshire University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Cumbria. She is also an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and a Member of the Tanzania Institute of Arbitrators.

Bonnie Y Chan
Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX)

Bonnie Y Chan was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited on 1 March 2024.  

Ms Chan brings more than 30 years of global capital markets leadership and expertise. She has played a leading role in supporting the transformation of Hong Kong’s listed market and infrastructure, enhancing market quality, attractiveness, and efficiency, and helping position HKEX as a leading global exchange group. 

Ms Chan has held leadership roles in legal and financial services with Asia-Pacific and global responsibilities. Before becoming CEO, Ms Chan was HKEX’s Co-Chief Operating Officer, where she oversaw the Group’s key operational and strategic functions. Ms Chan first joined HKEX as Head of IPO Transactions in 2007 from Morgan Stanley, where she spent four years leading the legal function for the investment bank’s Asia capital markets business. She rejoined HKEX in 2020 as Head of Listing, after serving as a partner at international law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell focusing on capital markets between 2010 and 2019.  

Ms Chan is a frequent contributor to the World Economic Forum and is a member of the Forum’s Centre for Financial and Monetary Systems Advisory Council.  

In Hong Kong, Ms Chan served as a member of the Financial Services Development Council between 2015 and 2018, and was a member of its Board of Directors between 2019 to 2020. She was also a member of the Standing Committee of Company Law Reform and the Disciplinary Panel of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  

Ms Chan was featured on Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in business list for 2024 and was ranked in the Top 10 in Asia. She was also recognised as one of the World Federation of Exchanges’ Women Leaders between 2021 and 2023. In addition, Ms Chan was recognised among IFLR1000’s Asia Best Lawyers in 2019 and was named The American Lawyer’s Dealmaker of the Year in 2018. 

Ms Chan holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Hong Kong and a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School. She is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and an attorney at law in New York State. 

Marisa Chearavanont
Special Advisor to the Senior Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group, Chairperson of Art Forest Foundation and Chef Cares Foundation

Mrs. Marisa Chearavanont is a philanthropist, social entrepreneur, businesswoman, and mother of four, whose life’s work moves gently across contemporary art, gastronomy, education, and social impact. She serves as Special Advisor to the Senior Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group and is married to Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont, Chairman of CP Group.

Guided by a belief in compassionate and sustainable giving, she founded the BUILD Foundation and Rak Siam Foundation to expand opportunity and uplift communities. As founder and chairperson of the Chef Cares Foundation, she champions “gastronomy with compassion,” bringing together leading and Michelin-starred chefs to create meaningful change. Through this initiative, all profits from Chef Cares ready meals at 7-Eleven are devoted to charitable and cultural causes—transforming everyday nourishment into a quiet act of generosity.

Her deep devotion to art and culture led to the creation of Bangkok Kunsthalle and Khao Yai Art Forest in 2024 and 2025—spaces where creativity becomes a bridge between people, culture, nature, and healing.

Most recently, Khao Yai Art Forest—a sanctuary where art, nature, and community exist in harmony—was named one of the World’s Greatest Places of 2026 by The Times Magazine. It stands as a reflection of her enduring vision: that art can restore, connect, and gently return us to the world, and to one another.

Sabrina Fung
Group Managing Director of Fung Retailing Group

Ms. Sabrina Fung is the Group Managing Director of Fung Retailing Group, a non-executive director of Convenience Retail Asia Limited, a Fung Group company also a public company in Hong Kong, and the Chief Executive Officer of Asia Retail Company Limited.

Ms. Fung is an independent non-executive director of China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited and Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited, an advisor for NBA Greater China, a member of the Shanghai Municipal Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and an Executive Committee Member of Shanghai Women's Federation.

In Hong Kong, amongst many other roles, Ms. Fung is a member of Major Sports Events Committee of The Government of the Hong Kong SAR, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong-Europe Business Council and the Hong Kong-France Business Council of Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and a member of the board of Alibaba Hong Kong Entrepreneurs Fund.

Internationally, Ms. Fung is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Carnegie Hall Corporation in New York, the Harvard Global Advisory Council, the Harvard Kennedy School’s Dean’s Council, and the McLaren Advisory Group.

Ms. Fung graduated from Harvard University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.

Jessica Gao
General Manager of Public Relations, Bosideng Group
China

Ms. Xiaohong Gao serves as Assistant to the President of Bosideng International Holdings Limited, where she plays a key role in coordinating brand strategy, major corporate events, and international initiatives. She has extensive experience in brand communication, large-scale event planning, and the management of global fashion and corporate projects.

In recent years, Ms. Gao has led several high-profile international brand initiatives. In 2025, she served as the Chief Planner for Bosideng’s presentation at Paris Fashion Week, helping to showcase the innovation and cultural identity of Chinese brands on the global fashion stage. In 2026, she is leading the planning and coordination of Bosideng’s 50th Anniversary Global Celebration, a milestone event highlighting the company’s five decades of growth and its future vision.

With strong expertise in brand globalization and cross-cultural communication, Ms. Gao is dedicated to advancing the international presence of Chinese brands. Through strategic brand storytelling and large-scale event leadership, she continues to help shape Bosideng’s global brand influence and corporate image.

Eileen Gu
Olympic Champion in Freestyle skiing
China

Eileen Gu is an Olympic champion and one of the most influential young athletes in the world, known for her exceptional achievements in freeskiing and her global cultural impact.

At the 2022 Winter Olympics, she made history by winning two gold medals and one silver, becoming the youngest Olympic freeski gold medalist. She further cemented her legacy at the 2026 Winter Olympics, earning one gold and two silver medals, made her the most decorated Olympic freeski athlete.

Beyond sports, Eileen is a powerful advocate for youth and female empowerment. She has been recognized globally, including being named to the TIME100 Most Influential People list, and was on the cover of both TIME Magazine and Global People before and after the 2026 Milan Olympics. She has also graced the covers of Vogue and many other top fashion magazines. Her short documentary is featured on HBO/Max and on United flights worldwide.

With a unique cross-cultural background, Eileen plays an active role in promoting global exchange and understanding. She has served as an ambassador for multiple international sporting events and organizations, using sport as a platform to connect cultures and inspire the next generation.

In addition to her athletic career, Eileen is also a student at Stanford University, representing a new generation that seamlessly integrates excellence across sports, culture, and education.

Priscilla Hui
President of Golden Bauhinia Women Entrepreneur Association
Hong Kong, China

Ms. Priscilla Hui is currently the President of the Golden Bauhinia Women Entrepreneur Association (GBWEA). She is also the Co-Founder and CEO of PRISTER Corporation Limited, as well as a Director of the Yick Shun Group. A graduate of the Business Administration program at Western University in Canada, her keen business insight has led her to successfully integrate world-class cutting-edge robotics technology into science and innovation education, fostering the development of a forward-looking educational ecosystem.

Ms. Hui has long been dedicated to youth development and family business succession. She established the educational organization ""ED21"" and, in 2006, founded ""2GHK"". She is keenly involved in community development, serving as the Honorary President of the Shatin Division of the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association and is a member of youth development committees in District Youth Development and Civic Education Committee(Kowloon City) and Hong Kong Association of Youth Development Wan Chai districts. As a seasoned female entrepreneur, she aims to maximize the positive impact to society by uniting fellow female leaders. Through her professionalism and social influence, she inspires the new generation of women to strive forward and pioneer the future in a new era.

Nancy Ip
President of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

Professor Nancy Ip is President of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and the Morningside Professor of Life Science. Taking office in October 2022, she is the first female president of a publicly funded university in Hong Kong. She joined HKUST in 1993, holding various roles including Vice-President for Research and Development and Dean of Science.

Ip is world-renowned for her significant contributions to the field of neuroscience. Her outstanding research has resulted in 349 scientific papers and 101 patents. She has been elected to the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the US National Academy of Sciences, among other academies, and has received numerous awards, including the National Natural Science Awards and the L’OREAL-UNESCO for Women in Science Award.

Ip plays a significant role in shaping research policy on a global scale. She is currently a member of the Leadership Group of the Davos Alzheimer’s Collaborative and the World Dementia Council. Additionally, she plays a key role in steering science and technology in Hong Kong. She currently serves as a member of the Chief Executive’s Council of Advisers. A strong advocate for global collaboration and exchange among scientists, she was a key driver in establishing the Greater Bay Area Association of Academicians and the International Alliance of Academicians.

Ing Kantha Phavi
Minister of Women’s Affairs of the Kingdom of Cambodia
Cambodia

H.E. Dr. ING Kantha Phavi serves as Minister of Women’s Affairs and Chairwoman of the Cambodian National Council for Women, roles she has held with distinction since 2004. Reappointed in August 2023, she continues to champion women’s empowerment, gender equality, and inclusive development in Cambodia and across the region. Under her leadership, the Ministry of Women’s Affairs has institutionalized gender mainstreaming at national and subnational levels, with key milestones including laws addressing domestic violence and human trafficking, and the promotion of women’s economic empowerment and leadership.

Dr. ING is widely recognized for her regional and global advocacy, representing Cambodia at International Economic Forums, ASEAN, and the United Nations platforms. She was named among APEC’s “Most Outstanding Women” in 2014, led and contributed to initiatives that earned Cambodia the Global Summit of Women 2024 Roundtable Ministerial Award, 3rd ASEAN Women Leaders’ Care Economy Recognition Award in 2024, and Care Policy Ecosystem award in 2024.

Prior to her public service, Dr. ING practiced medicine and led pharmaceutical research projects in France. She holds a Doctorate of Medicine from Université Paris VI, and a Brevet in Public Administration from the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA), Paris. Dr. ING also completed the Executive Leadership Programme at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Vivian Kong Man Wai
Paris Olympics Women's Épée Individual Gold Medallist | Legislative Council Member (Tourism Functional Constituency), Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region

Vivian Kong is a three-time Asian Champion and Olympian, and the Gold Medalist in the individual women’s epee event at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Ranked number one in the world in 2018–2019 and 2023–2024, Ms. Kong holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Stanford University and a Master of Laws in Chinese Law from Renmin University of China. She is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and serves as a Member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, representing the Tourism Functional Constituency.

Ms. Kong received the Medal of Honour (2024) and the Silver Bauhinia Star (2025) from the Hong Kong SAR Government for her distinguished community service and charitable contributions. Her previous accolades include the JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Hong Kong Award (2021) and Sing Tao Leader of the Year (2019).

After the 2024 Paris Olympics, Ms. Kong joined The Hong Kong Jockey Club as an Assistant External Affairs Manager, focusing on social betterment, youth, and sports development. She also serves as a Consultant to Tsinghua University’s Executive Master of Public Administration Programme (Hong Kong Programme) and as an Ambassador for the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.

Lin Dongmei

Lin Dongmei (1975), Ph.D., Associate Professor. Deputy Director of China National Engineering Research Center of Juncao Technology and Vice Dean of International College of Juncao Science of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, UN Juncao Technology Project Consultant, WFP South-South Cooperation Expert, and Fujian Rural Revitalization Leading Talent.

As the head of China's Juncao assistance projects in Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Lesotho, Rwanda and other nations, she has worked across over 30 developing countries, championing Juncao technology as a flagship Chinese solution for global poverty reduction and sustainable development. She has led 50+ research projects, holds 10+ invention patents, and authored 7 books. Currently, she pioneers Juncao applications in ecological governance, smart agriculture, bio-materials, and bio-energy.

Recipient of 19 honors including National March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetter, Poverty Alleviation Advanced Individual, and Central African Republic President Medal, plus 20 teaching awards. She is a distinguished contributor to Juncao technology's global development.

Dr. Mark MAK, the receipt of the 2024 Hong Kong’s Ten Outstanding Young Persons award and serves as the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Roborn, the Chief Consultant (Artificial Intelligence) at the State Key Laboratory of Space Information and Integrated Application, 5th Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (503 Institute), the Chief Consultant at Tiandi Technology International Branch of the China Coal Technology and Engineering Group Co., Ltd., as well as the Chief Scientist of OMH Science Group Co., Ltd (Stock Code: 300486).

He is an expert in 5G bionic robotics, artificial intelligence industry applications, electronic information transmission, human–machine hybrid intelligence, and vertical application solutions of the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System. In 2019, he led a team in collaboration with several telecommunications research institutions to successfully develop China’s first 5G motion-controlled humanoid robot. The robot was later showcased in Belt and Road countries as a national “Goodwill Ambassador.” In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Dr. Mak has been honored with the titles “Father of 5G Bionic Robots” and “Iron Man of Hong Kong.”

In addition, Dr. Mak has participated in multiple research and development projects, including special-purpose robotics, spatial information systems and integrated applications, as well as research in quantum technology and mechanical automation.

She is the Founder and President of the International Women’s Federation of Commerce and Industry (IWFCI) Mongolia and currently serves as Senior Advisor to the Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia.

Through her leadership, IWFCI Mongolia has become a dynamic platform connecting women entrepreneurs to regional and global ecosystems, particularly across ASEAN, advancing inclusive economic participation through strategic partnerships.

A central focus of her work is embedding social responsibility into economic systems. She has played a leading role in advancing the Business and Human Rights agenda in Mongolia and has spearheaded initiatives with international organizations including UNICEF, UNDP, and UN ESCAP. Halla Tómasdóttir has served as President of Iceland since 1 August 2024.

A recognized leader in responsible business and women’s empowerment, she has built a career spanning the private sector, academia, and global advocacy.

Halla began her career in human resources and organizational development at multinational companies including Mars and PepsiCo. She later returned to Iceland to contribute to education and leadership development, becoming a founding team member of Reykjavík University, where she established executive education programmes and a pioneering women’s entrepreneurship initiative.

In 2006, she became the first female CEO of the Iceland Chamber of Commerce, and subsequently co-founded Auður Capital, a female-led investment firm promoting ethical and inclusive finance. From 2018 to 2024, Halla served as CEO of The B Team, a global non-profit advocating for responsible business practices and cross-sector collaboration to address challenges such as inequality and climate change.

A global thought leader, Halla has actively championed gender equality and inclusive leadership, convening international dialogues and contributing to global conversations on women’s empowerment and sustainable development.

Hannah Yeoh

Hannah Yeoh is the current Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) of Malaysia. Yeoh previously served as the Minister of Youth and Sports from 2022 to 2025 and earlier as the Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, a role she held from mid-2018 to early 2020.

At present, she is serving her second term as the Member of Parliament for P117 Segambut, a parliamentary constituency in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, which she first won in 2018 during the historic general election which saw the Pakatan Harapan coalition come to power.

Prior to that, Yeoh was the two-term State Assemblyman for the constituency of N31 Subang Jaya (2008 – 2018). During her tenure as State Assemblyman, Yeoh made history by becoming the first woman to be elected as the Speaker of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly in 2013 and the youngest of any legislative body in Malaysia.

Yeoh holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Tasmania and was previously a practising lawyer in Australia and Malaysia before venturing into politics.
